This Code of Conduct outlines our requirements for all Ignyte users to keep the platform safe and open for everyone. It should be read together with our Ignyte website Terms and Conditions and Ignyte User Agreement.
1. Overview and Purpose
1.1 This Code of Conduct sets out what is considered acceptable and non-acceptable behavior on the Ignyte Community Platform. It requires high standards and integrity from all users in order to ensure appropriate and respectful communications and successful relationships.
1.2 Any activity, communication or engagement on the platform which goes against the principles set out in this Code of Conduct may, depending on the seriousness of the violation in question, result in temporary or permanent suspension from community participation. We ask that you always try to comply with these principles and do the right thing or seek clarification where this is not certain.
2. Pledge
In the interest of fostering an open and welcoming environment, we as contributors and maintainers pledge to making participation in Ignyte Community an informative, useful and harassment-free experience for all users.
3. Standards and Rules of Behaviour
Best Practices (Do)
3.1 Engage with consideration and respect. Harassment or victimization is not condoned.
3.2 Follow laws and customs. We expect all users to be aware of and adhere to local laws and customs, as well as to act ethically at all times.
3.3 Share mindfully and respect others’ rights. Only share Community or user resources where permitted or after asking permission and, where required, by making the proper attribution.
3.4 Be trustworthy. Use your true identity and only provide accurate and real information about yourself or your organization.
3.5 Be professional. Engage in broad communications but maintain a professional expression whereby users are treated with respect and civility.
3.6 Always be honest. Don’t knowingly share incorrect information or intentionally mislead other users.
3.7 Confidentiality. Respect and protect confidential and personal information. Don't share sensitive information.
Prohibited Conduct (Do not)
3.8 Anything unprofessional or inappropriate. Conduct or communication which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.
3.9 Violation of related Community terms. Any violation of Ignyte Terms and Conditions and/or User Agreement.
3.10 Dishonesty. Creating a fake profile or falsifying information about your organisation or business.
3.11 Deception. Using your Community membership to scam, defraud or deceive other users.
3.12 Illegal or unpleasant communications. All defamatory, discriminatory, abusive, profane, threatening or offensive communications or uploaded/posted content.
3.13 Breaking of laws. Any activity that violates any federal, national or local law.
3.14 Corruption. Bribery, corruption or making/receiving improper gifts for the benefit of any external or internal party.
3.15 Registration under false circumstances. Creating a new account after account restriction.
4. Sanctions and Reporting
4.1 There are various actions that we may take in response to inappropriate behaviour or conduct. Depending on the seriousness of the violation, we may issue a warning setting out the violation and required steps for remedying it and/or limit, remove any user communications or content or immediately terminate your user account. Repeated or serious offences will result in account suspension or termination.
4.2 Trying to evade or bypass our sanctions, for example by creating multiple accounts, is not permitted and may result in additional sanctions and restrictions.
4.3 If you see a problem or any violation of this Code of Conduct, report it. Please assist us and other users by speaking up if you see anything untoward.
4.4 Don’t reply to bad behaviour or suspected incidents thereof. You can report a disruptive user or disruptive content to, or otherwise seek clarification on bad behaviour from Ignyte. For more information, see Ignyte's FAQs page.
4.5 We may request your reasonable assistance to help us identify and/or address any violations of this Code of Conduct.
5. Related Policies
5.1 To protect ourselves, as well as you and your data, we have the Terms of Use, User Agreements and our Privacy Policy describing your (and our) behaviour and rights related to content, privacy, and laws. To use this service, you must agree to abide by such policies.
5.2 Ignyte retains full discretion under the Terms of Use and User Agreements to remove or restrict any communications or accounts for activity that violates those policies. This Code of Conduct describes when we will exercise that discretion.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
If you're a Ignyte user, you may access, update, alter, or delete your basic user profile information via Ignyte website () or contacting support@leapbydifc.com. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, but barring legal requirements, will delete your full profile (within reason) within 90 days of your request. We may change this Code of Conduct, which is a living document, from time to time. Please refer back to this document in order to stay up to date.
